The Halal Fiesta Malaysia (HALFEST 2013) will continue to forge strategic collaboration between government agencies, private entities and non-government organisations.
HALFEST is the medium for small and medium entrepreneurs to strengthen their brand development and establish their foothold in the local market before expanding into the global market.
CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd as the organiser, said in a statement today the event at the Mines Exhibition Centre, Seri Kembangan from Oct 2-6, will showcase halal products and services from different sectors such as food and beverage, cosmetics and personal care, Islamic capital and financial services.
“There will be seminars and business matching sessions for the business minded,” it added.
There will also be a cooking demonstration by Malaysia’s food ambassador, Chef Wan, while participants will hold individual contests and games with many exciting prizes to be won.
HALFEST 2013 is expected to attract 50,000 visitors and is hosted by the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC).It will have about 600 booths.
