KARACHI: The MCB Bank is keen to promote Islamic banking with its various Sharia compliant products throughout the country to meet the financial needs of a large number of masses for investment and lending purposes.

Islamic Banking, Head of Product Development, Mujeeb Baig said this while speaking to the Annual Iftar Dinner of Karachi Union of Journalists (Dastoor) held at the Karachi Press Club recently.

He said that MCB Bank is one of the pioneer banks in introducing Islamic banking services, which has been flourishing the Sharia financing system for almost a decade successfully in the country. The bank with its learned Sharia scholars and competent financial managers has introduced various products in the country, which is lucrative for business and individual levels.

Baig added that MCB Bank is committee to enhance its branches network of Sharia-based banking through new branches and sub-branches in different cities of the country hence a large number of people who have been waiting to invest in Halal financing system could be facilitated through lending and saving schemes.
