Perk-Me-Up on the Go
Mofaz Dagang Sdn Bhd might be a Johnny-come-lately, but it did not hinder it from tapping into the production of herb-based beverages under its Volcano brand. Its recently launched range of herbal drinks contains Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma Longifolia Jack), a much sought-after extra zing known its curative benefits and medicinal properties. Volcano is available in four flavours: Pure Tongkat Ali, Tongkat Ali Ginseng, Tongkat Ali Honey and Premium, which combines all three flavours. The range is available in 250ml cans, retailed at RM2.90 each.
Qiblah Phone – LG F7100
This is a neat little sliding phone. With our office full of Nokia users, we were all pleased to discover that the menus were clear and easy to navigate, with a bright easy-to-read screen. This phone does all the basic things that you want a phone to do… with a BIG PLUS.
Out office is out of earshot of a mosque, so we were pleasantly surprised to hear the adhan being discretely called from someone’s desk, pocket or handbag! Given the nonsense that spews out from hand phones these days, this was like a breath of sanity.
And for the traveler among us, how many times have you been somewhere wondering which way to face for the prayer? Being able to locate the Qiblah from over 500 locatins in just a few seconds by slowly spinning the phone on a flat surface is a real bonus, and makes the Qiblah Phone a really useful traveling companion.
We found the ring tones a little bit disappointing, but this is hardly a complaint. Our only real disappointment is that we will have to give the review model back to LG! It’s a very handy phone and we will miss hearing Allahu Akbar in our office – and that alone is reason enough to go out and buy one.
